I just happened to have a guitar in my hand while I was playing the video that earlounge posted a few days ago of Adam with the Robert Ross Band - the first one - Adam's version of Sweet Home Chicago, when I realized that this is a great backing track to practice my harp backing up guitar skills.
I don't know how many of you have had the pleasure of playing harp with a guitarist who really knows how to back up a harp player, but it is a fine musical experience indeed.
That's why I try to work on my on guitar skills for the rare times when I get to back up another harp player. It's always a lot of fun for me.
Most of these riffs are simple things, you don't have to be a virtuoso to play them. It's more about developing an ear for it.
You can learn a lot of tricks just listening to how they back up any Little Walter song.
I haven't heard the rest of Kick and Stomp yet, but I would imagine that there are a lot of great "harp backing practice backing tracks" on it.
