Wow, this sounds so good I find it really hard to believe it's legit. I'm showing it to a number of people and they are just as doubtful yet unsure. Could it be done? Sure. But I'm thinking these guys actually practiced this on their iPhones together quite a lot before doing this. It wasn't a spur of the moment improve as suggested. Not like they could have played their real instruments on a subway, lol.

hahahaha, that was awesome... I don't care if it wasn't spur of the moment, that's not the point. They fricken made a legit song on a couple of phones... and it sounded really good. Thanks for sharing.
When they say they can improvise,... well it's kinda ambiguous... does it mean, they know how to improvise in that situation (of having lost their instruments). The truth is they probably can very well improvise on their real instruments. Do they improvise there at the moment. obviously not. It's an arranged song...
All the rest is also kinda ambiguous. "All footage from one recording" (doesn't mean that they didn't try it a couple of times..).
I would also suggest that the girl singing the lyrics is one of the guys girlfriend and all the people filming (again on iphones... hmmm) are friends of the band. Except of the two black dudes (which are obviously not part of the staging, the real travelers can be recognized by the absent daze on their faces). There's so much crap going on in ny, a couple of dudes playing on their iphones won't shock anybody.
So they may suggest in all different ways that its all improv, but at the end in all ways that they don't specify that it's real it's prob. staged.
But isn't it obvious...? It's a film 'produced' to go viral - successfully. Nothing wrong with that... however, it suggests a lot which it obviously isn't... which makes it FAKE.
They don't mean that they are improvising the song...they got their instruments stolen so they are improvising by coming up with something new to play on. From there, they planned on using their newly improvised instruments to make the clip.
