I was watching with delight (very happily for the umpteenth time) the Little Walter footage that Adam cites and analyzes in his new thread on the LW video. Amazing and delicious footage to be sure.

Not wanting to hijack Adam's thread I decided to start a new one because when I looked at the playlist below the LW video window I found a treasure trove of footage of Paul Butterfield with various embodiments of his bands. As I clicked on and watched I saw more and more footage in the playlist that was new to me. What a treat for any Butter fan!

I found one particular video that was new to me, though I had seen parts of it before, that really struck me. It features Butter, Bloomfield and Sun House. It has a bunch of great footage of the Butterfield Blues Band (including a killer version of Juke towards the end) along with some excellent footage of Bloomfield praising Son House and then more with the Son hisse'f, again most of it new to me. All I Can say is WOW! As a fan of all three of these legends, this is exquisite:

Butter, Bloomfield & Son House video

I hope you blues fans like it as much as I do. The other Butter videos in the playlist below this video are superb as well.

Everyone should pay attention to the drummer, Mr. Sam Lay. One of the greatest blues drummers ever.

yeah, I'd listen more to it if I didn't have to down load "stuff" to hear it. And some funny type of arabic language web site...what the?...
Do us all a favor, add a link in plain english, and not have me down load strange software, in order to hear it. Please.
I deleted it as soon as it popped up. Thanks, but no thanks.
