Maybe someone is searching for a solution to the problem - when you have tons of reeds, you need some method to quickly find the right reed.
Here's what I did:

I've got 12 little plastic bottle left over form the Choke Tube pouches that I picked up. Didn't think about it then but now it seems like they'd be decent for keeping reeds organized. ---------- Suzuki HarpMaster in C Suzuki FolkMaster in D,E and F Hohner Old Standby in A Hohner Special 20 in Bb Hohner Big River in Low F,G,A,Bb,C and D

:D you'd need more like 12*7 for HM reeds and 12*7 for MS reeds.
And that would be only hohner stuff ^_^ ---------- www.truechromatic.com

You could always do like you did and tape em' to the little pieces of paper then slip em' down into the tubes for safe keeping. I'm sure that they're are a lot of different reeds but also won't some cross over to other harps. I wonder just how many reeds that actually are. I bet if you e-mailed Hohner or Suzuki they'd know since they have to stock all of em' in order to build their harps. Once I start replacing reeds I'm probably only going to keep the ones that blow out the most, not sure what that is yet but I'm sure I'll find out, hopefully not anytime soon though. ---------- Suzuki HarpMaster in C Suzuki FolkMaster in D,E and F Hohner Old Standby in A Hohner Special 20 in Bb Hohner Big River in Low F,G,A,Bb,C and D

that's too much work!
I have boxes of reed plates separated by key.

Buddha,
my head aches to calculate each time where should I take this or that reed. Since I make lots of alt. tunings, I'd have to do the math what blow and what draw reed would pass.
