Tonight is the first night of the Downtown Harp & Juke Festival here in Jackson, Mississippi, sponsored by Cellular South Emerge: mobilize your music. Lineup includes our own Adam Gussow (tomorrow night), myself (Friday and Saturday), and:
Charlie Musselwhite
Bobby Rush
Billy Gibson
Greg "Fingers" Taylor
Brandon Bailey
Terry "Harmonica" Bean
Jumpin' Johnny Sansone
Common Ground Blues Band featuring Arthur Jones
Here's a link to an article from our local paper, written by my friend and former editor of Living Blues, Scott Barretta:
Harp & Juke Fest goes Underground
And here's a segment where I was interviewed about the fest on Mississippi Public Broadcasting:
Mississippi Edition, 10.4.2010
If you're within a drive or impromptu flight of Jackson, please come!

I hope you have a very successful event. Wish I was anywhere near, but alas I am in the Seattle (soon to be raining) area. Break a leg man!

Have a good time, Scott! Wish we could make it-I'll be hanging sheetrock this weekend. ----------
