put a straw in your mouth and suck through it. Now take the free end of the straw while you are sucking air and point it towards the ceiling. Do not move your head. Do what you have to do to keep the stream of air flowing.
Remember that position of your mouth where you're sucking air from the ceiling. A note will bend.
I've not had a raw beginner in person that couldn't bend a note in more than 30 seconds.
