Hey guys. My first post here at MBH. I've been playing around 2 1/2 years, but recently graduated college, got married, sold my Bassman to help fund said marriage (I know...but it was worth it), and moved out here to Colorado Springs. In the process my harp box sadly became neglected in the closet somewhere. Long story short- I stumbled upon Gussow's Mr. Satan's Apprentice at the library, read it through, and it sparked me to start shedding again (Thanks Adam!). I'm just wondering who's out here in Co Springs/Denver area and if I can get any leads on good blues jams, harp players, etc. I'm a decent player- gigged with a blind Tallahassee blues musician named Charles Atkins for a bit- but a bit rusty and looking for some good players to listen to, absorb, and spark some ideas in my (re)learning process. Any help would be great!

My band hosts a jam night every other Tuesday at Ziggie's (same place where Rick Davis hosts his jam every other Sunday). Both jams are harp friendly. I have an amp set up for harp that you are welcome to use and I love talking shop. You can check out Ziggie's at http://ziggieslivemusic.com
We'll be there this coming Tuesday, 10/5.

Thanks guys! So it looks like I'll prob have to make some trips up to Denver...seems to be where more is going on. Hopefully I can make it out next Sat at Q's.

Hey AC- I was trying to figure out on the site you gave..but do you and Rick host the jams on the same week(Tues. and Sun.) or alternating?

I've been to Denver several times on business. There is a pretty good blues scene there. I've been to several jams there. I usually find them on the Colorado Blues Society's web site.

I've met and played with some really cool players out there like Dan Treanor and Ronnie Shellist. There are far worse music scenes in the country than Denver.
