Hi fellas, I'm having a little trouble getting a comb for my SBS/365 after swelling the original in less than half an hour!
Ideally a nice ebony or similar dark dark hardwood (not too keen on dymondwood) or a dark or groovy coloured corian. Genesis seem a bit busy to handle my small order and Chris Reynolds only has brass or d'wood.
I've vaguely checked out a few other suppliers but not having much luck...........

Rubes,
I too am an SBS lover. I sanded and sealed my SBS combs and replace the nails with screws. These mods make the big 14-holer more friendly to play and maintain. I used to call my Low C SBS my "Desert Island" harp.
I say "used to" because at SPAH I bought a Seydel 12-hole Blues Solist Pro also in Low C. I had just asked Steve Baker hisse'f why Hohner hadn't made a 12-hole SBS. He said that they had "considered it." That new 12-hole Seydel is a honey of a harp! It's tuned like the lower 12 holes of the Hohner SBS, but it has a sealed wood comb, is held together by screws and has nice stainless steel cover plates. It's significantly smaller than the big SBS but it retains that great tone. I can cup it pretty well, too.
So, for $69 you could get a whole new harp that is a better instrument than the SBS. That's less than you'll pay for a custom comb, I betchya.
Try one, you'll like it. Thank me later... 8^)

Hmmmm.....the Seydel does tempt me, it's a shame I didn't consider it before I forked out $100 for the SBS!
Oh well..., I'm sorta stuck up this tree at the moment. If I can't track down this comb maybe the rest will be couped up in a little jar for a while yet.
As a younger fella, I cut my teeth on a couple of SBS's, learning to blowbend before anything else just about. My decision to buy one later in life was a bit sentimental, plus wanting to do some Rice Miller.
I won't wait till later to thank you Michelle, the Seydel sounds like a good idea, I think I'll just mull it over for a little bit more......!?
Whilst on the subject, anyone else a bit partial to these units? (I know some are not).Anyone had a good go at customization? How are they for overblows? I did find a few possible OOTB! I thought maybe I could tweak out a few more?

Ummmmm, I suppose I'm guessing the dymondwood is light in weight and I feel like using something a little bit heavier/substantial(brass would be too heavy). How do you like it Chris?

you want a brass SBS comb?

I think dymondwood is great, if there was something better I would use it.

I'm open to anything that works really, I might take another look at it.... I don't want a brass one (might make a good anchor for my boat :~))
