I do dig the cigar box guitar Hobostubs. At least from what I've heard you done so far. Glad to hear you got a contract to build one for somebody. I wouldn't really know where to start other then a cigar box and some guitar strings. I've never really bothered with guitar myself cause of what I'd want to play with it, haha.

Be careful what you wish for..... Once I decided to build myself an inline volume control. Then a friend wanted one...... Now BlowsMeAway is a full time job.

Hi Hobo, I just visited your site on Reverbnation. I remember saying some time ago that you could build a cult following with your zany music and it looks like you're doing just that. I listened to "I got to go" and I loved it. I can see why your fan base on Reverbnation is growing. If anyone deserves a little bit of luck Hobo, I think it's you and I hope it keeps on growing for you.
If you are serious about going into the Cigar Box Guitar making business your presence and tunes on both Reverbnation and YouTube will do you a favour where advertising is concerned. There are folks on this forum with a whole bunch of different skills, so if you need any help put the word out and I'm sure we could see you right. I have IT and artwork skills, if I can help in any way, let me know. I don't want payment, I just feel you deserve a break.

H.A.,
On the tip from Tooka2, I went to Reverbnation and listened to your stuff. I love it.
In perusing your photos, I was very pleased to see that you appreciate both a good smoke as well as a glass of beer. Now, you really got me in your fan base.
Further, I am currently in the process of working out some logistics for this coming Springtime. If you are receptive to it, I'd like for you to feature prominently in my planning.
I'm planning on attending the Hill Country thing. If at all possible, I'm going to try to land myself some work out of NOLA. If I can't, I'll likely still get myself down there for a few days. I've got a small office just off the Quarter that two of my business partners man, that I haven't been to in person since last year. Once I leave the City, I plan to roll on up the MS Blues Trail until I get to the HCH shindig.
Following that, I'm going to spend the next few weeks riding the Trans-America Trail to the Pacific Ocean. That will take me across Oklahoma. If you are up for it, I'd like to connect with you and spread a little harp up over some of that cigar box sound.
Your stuff is just the kind of old school front porch goodness that I cut my teeth on as a youngster getting schooled up by some very wise old men. Brings a bit of nostalgia to me heart, it does.
