Does anyone know where I can get a Low C Crossover?
I ordered one from a UK company and it has been on back order for 6 weeks now. Are hohner still having problems for meeting the demand for the crossovers?
I have checked a few of the other companies that I have bought off before, but I can't find them listed anywhere.

You didn't say where you ordered it from, but Pete at Harmonicas Direct is very good when it comes to keeping his customers up to date.
If you've not done so already, I'd recommend giving him a go. He kept me in the loop when I was waiting for my first Crossover. ---------- YouTube SlimHarpMick

What other manufacturers make Low C's as I know they are not made on my harp choice (Golden Melody). Any other Low C's in form factors similar to GM- Sorry to digress from your question per se. d ---------- myspace facebook

Seydel. I have one and it is a nice harp. I haven't tinkered with it. I have the one that is like a SBS from Hohner, but they make 10 hole ones too. ---------- Mike VHT Special 6 Amp for Harp Blog

@belfast_harper:
I second (and third) HarmonicaMick's recommendation for Peter and Harmonicas Direct. He's a class act.
Last time I spoke with Peter (about two weeks ago), I asked him about Low C Crossovers. IIRC, he said he didn't have any and didn't know what availability from Hohner was going to be like.
I ended up buying a Marine Band 364 in C (effectively a 12 hole, Low C harmonica) and I *love* it. No swelling from the comb after long periods of playing, feels and sounds good to me. Quite a lot higher than a regular MB, though.
Hope this helps?

I was going to get a 364 until I found out that you could get a crossover in low c. I think I was looking at a 364 in your box at bluesweek and it looked too big for me.
I don't think the 364 would work for me because of the way I cup the harmonica, I use the 2 thumbs up grip and cover the whole harmonica, if I had to make room to let the extra length of the harmonica, out it forces me to open the bottom of my hands and break the seal.
I have tried using the grip that Joe, but it isn't working for me yet.

I hear you about the grip. I'd suggest sticking with the Filisko method, though. It's been amazing for me, anyway.
BTW, The one you saw at Blues Week was a 365 (14 holes). The 364 is only two holes shorter, but it feels a lot shorter to me. Still a different beast, though.

belfast_harper: I have both a 364 and a 365. I use the thumbs-up hold and let the end of the harmonica protrude through my fingers. I still can get a good seal. It's a little different than holding the whole harp at once, but I still get a seal.
