I dislike the Bluesbands for embossing because of the very hard reedplate material. All handmade hohners are a lot easier/smoother to emboss.
But basically I totally agree. Embossing is rather easy. Prob a little easier than gapping. But both really don't need so much skill when done on a mediocre level.
You should remember though, it's not primarily about making them play better but making all reeds play equal.

If you do it on better harps later just make sure you press LIGHTLY.
