I think you should go for an eflat harp instead of e as far as the 7 most used harps if there are any horn players around they like to play in bflat leading to eflat in cross harp B is rarely used

with all the money you are spending are garbage harps why not get a couple of custom harps and really get busy with learning to play?

a custom harp will help you progress better. It's the reason I bought a Martin guitar when I didn't know how to play.

You might want to try a Bushman Delta Frost, too. They are in your price range -$25 delivered.

buddha has a point. i bought MB's and Sp 20's when I started playing. sure there were less expensive ones to be had, but i certainly had no business with all the standard keys when i couldnt even play oh suzanna...keep it simple frank. i only had one key of harp for the first 5-6 months i played. i told myself that i would earn, through my growing skill set, the right to buy all the keys. (and i havent even done that yet and ive been playing around 2 years)
save your money. dont buy a 17 dollar harp just because you want all the keys.

i can't blame you for wanting all the keys....however the folkmasters you have ordered are cheap chinese harps just like the hot metals you have from hohner. i am afraid if you are expecting the folkmaster to be just a little behind the harpmaster you will be sorely disapointed.
on the other hand you may love them....which i hope is the case.

Nah, I just checked mine. Made in China. I was surprised too. Played it though, still better than the BR IMO.

Suzuki Folkmasters are not bad harmonicas. They are certainly better than the Hot Metals.

frank, since your on a computer, download this free audio program called audacity, with my ONE harp, i could alter the key of ANY tune known to man to be in the key of C (the lone harp i started with) i dont understand your obsession with getting all the keys. maybe im mistaken, how long have you been playing? ---------- Kyzer's Travels Kyzer's Artwork

i think buddha is suggesting if you buy a very good harp and learn the techniques and positions, you will far fewer harps.
maybe it was on this forum that somebody figured if one new how to play in 5 positions they would only need 3 harps. (i'm sure my numbers aint right. does this ring a bell for anyone else?)

Clyde is right: the Folkmaster is Chinese made. The Harpmaster is made in Japan and is way superior - I'm sure you'll feel the difference when the harps arrive.
