If you are traveling down I-81 this weekend near the TN/VA line in Bristol stop in for some great music.
http://www.bristolrhythm.com/index.php is a 3 day downtown festival with 21 stages and over 100 performers.
You can hear roots, blues, country, ole time mountain music, bluegrass, newgrass, electric blues rock..the list goes on.
Phil Wiggins is there to perform and do a workshop.
I know Michelle Malone plays harp and electric guitar. Two young ladies from Asheville call themselves "Grit Pixies". They have an acoustic duo with strong Cephus and Wiggins influences. Ususally 4 or 5 different harp players to be found.
I would love to see Adam do this festival. The fit is perfect.
The big talk again this year is the Carolina Chocolate Drops. You might hear fiddle, banjo, kazoo, jug, fife, snare, kazoo, etc..etc.. They always get the house jumpin! Amazing talent!
