I've finally got my new vintage Astatic 2oo mic from harpmicjones from ebay(with a £27 customs charge to boot- OUCH!!).
It's got a Shure CM element with an amazing Rainbow metal flake paint job which the camera doesn't do justice.
I've uploaded a video of me testing the mic with a run through of Walter's Boogie, something i'm woodshedding at the moment.
feel free to let me know what you think of the Mic and my playing. I've plugged the mic straight into a 5W Epiphone Valve Jr with no mods, no effects with the volume just above 0 (i have a very small office at home).
It would also be good to know if you think i may benefit from any effects like delay that type of thing.
@BAG The customiser is Michael Gengras from ME. I found him on ebay selling custom mic's under the name harpmicjones. He's got some really nice Mic's on there with great feedback from other customers, a really good guy to deal with. The mic came with a Crown Royal velvet bag to keep it in too.
@Todd i am really happy with the mic, but i'm already daydreaming over what i can get (or wish for) next :o) ----------
