Hi Aussie Bro's in NSW or East Coast Australia, or if ya real keen got a few jum bucks in the cunnin kit can ride,drive,catch a train or Big Jet plane from interstate maybe on Holidays passing through the Mid North Coasts majestic Central coast region,or live in Sydney or Newcastle:)
I got some good news, the likes of what we have never seen be for, has come to together with the Help of a Bro and friends who has recently made contact with me at one of our Club Jam Nights in Newcastle :)

The Central Coast Blues Harp Showdown Update
Entries are a little slow for this years competition,so I have extended the entry date to the day of performance first in best harped!
We'll also include an amateurs section the thought of a
student up against a pro is obviously a daunting prospect,
this is all about being part of a bigger picture. So, it's never to late to complete and entry form! (No entry fee applies to amateurs.
The prizes will vary and include great meal
vouchers and a trophy for the winner plus give aways:)
But don't forget to book a table!!. 43961500.
Entrants have come from far and wide to be part of the show.
Legendary blues harp player Jim Conway has agreed to be a
judge on the day, and later jam in with the band. We are all really excited about having such a great player Help with Judgeing:)
don't miss out! The Competition will commence around 3 PM with the amateurs getting their turn first.The Master's section will be up and going around 4 PM - 5 PM, depending on the number entered.
Bro's if there is a section for a Delta Blues Duo keep a Ear open For THE NASTY CLOUD DELTA BLUES DUO:)
I'm in if there is a spot for our Act come on Bro's we need to get behind this event Rob a Bank Pawn the Flat sceen do what ever it takes to get there or be square be sure to tell a Friend but be there if it's a goer there should be more in the future:)

Yo Rubes They got a spot for my Bro and me we are on, NASTY CLOUD DELTA BLUES will be doing there thing maybe we can hook up for a chat after our spot:)
we will be doing an instrumentle my Bro will play a Parlor size Dobro Slide Guitar, of course me on Harp we will do Dust my Broom:)
the criteria is you can play with a guitarist,small band or backing music, 1 song 3 mins max but you will only be judged on the Harmonica content,
we will be in the Pro section and expect a lot of Hard fast head cutting wham bam Blow em down Playing
but where Delta Blues so Im going in nice and slow less is more:)
And going in it for fun and to get our Heads noticed by the crowd we have a grand plan to get more exposure and start hitting the Caffe set around Newcastle:)
And we have had a wonderful day Playing a few sets at the Newcastle Community arts centre for a fund raiser nice crowd great response:)

A must attend event for Aussies don't let this slip through your fingers there are a lot of people working hard to get this event kicked off:)
we want to this show to continue into the future and grow much like those Lucky Yanks with there Jam camps,
get behind us Bro's make it a goer and see what happens next year it can only be fun fun fun:)

I am a newbie to this forum. Thanks for posting the message about the Showdown. I am throwing my hat in the ring for the amateur section. Having been dithering in my mind the past few days. Not suprememly confident but tigure it will be good motivation for me to practice a bit harder, and see how the pros do it.

BTW I have quite a good tan (getting better daily), short silvery (Silverback) hair and I will wear my hammerhead shark pendant for good measure.
