That looks like the beginning of beautiful relationship! Can't wait to see the actual polished up performances. I would like to see the guitar and vocals have a little more presence. The harp (although excellent !) was slightly overpowering. But alas! it's a rehearsal.

@Blueswannabe: In the two videos in question, I was playing through a 4 watt amp and was barely drawing any air through the harp, except when Shine nodded at me to solo. (I was playing, in this respect, at the opposite--i.e., quiet--extreme from how I play for the majority of my new solo album, where I am playing very hard.) Shine was playing through a 40 watt guitar amp and had his headset mic volume (and guitar volume) dialed in as he preferred it. My amp was aimed perpendicular to Shine, and was on my right side, away from him. His amp was between us. We heard each other beautifully.
It should go without saying that the perceived levels of harp and guitar at the mic interface on a videocam parked 12 feet away were not live-gig optimal, much less studio-optimal. I had no intention of uploading this footage, because I knew--from past experience--that one way people interact with this sort of video is to point out that the sound isn't quite optimal. But then I watched it a few more times and decided that the groove and vibe were so good on this first-run through that nobody, THIS time, would possibly find it necessary to point out that Shine's vocals could have been louder.
I specifically did not post either video on this forum, because I wasn't asking for feedback, constructive or otherwise, from forum members. I was sharing something with my subscribers at YouTube--something that I hoped they'd simply enjoy, without subjecting it to the fine-toothed vet. It's hardly even a rehearsal; it's two guys playing together for the very first time (if one gig eight years earlier may be discounted). Relative volume levels AT THE CAMERA are utterly irrelevant; they played no role in what the two musicians were listening for, doing, or trying to achieve.
So the word alas!, with an exclamation point, finds a lack where none actually exists. These two videos were about two musicians finding joy in making music with each other for the first time. That's all. That's the lesson.

I loved it and hope to see more of it....Glad you shared it. I was not trying to make more of it than it as, two obviously talented musicians rehearsing ( or hanging around having fun). Any offense, if perceived, was unintentional. Regards.
