So I've been using a Pedaltrain Mini pedalboard for the last 10 months or so. I carry a Furman surge block, a One Spot, a transformer and cords in the soft case along with the loaded pedalboard. I gig regularly and play out quite a bit when I don't have a gig, so the case (and pedalboard) have gotten reasonably heavy use.
Anyway, a couple of weeks ago, the zipper on the main compartment of the case disintegrated as I was packing up after a gig. So, I call Pedaltrain to see if i can buy a replacement bag. They said it's under warranty, and they are aware of the problem and have started to use stronger zippers. They asked for my address and sent me a new bag (with heavier gauge zippers)just like that. No hassle, no proof of purchase, no delay. Pretty good customer service, IMHO.

On the other hand, I bought a Behringer echo pedal. It died after a few months. No problem Behringer said, take it to a participating dealer who will swap it for a new one, or send it to us for exchange. I couldn't find a participating dealer so got a UK returns address and off it went. A few days later it returned with a niote to say that Korg are no longer the UK importers. Behringer then sent me a returns label for UPS to send it to their warehiuse in Germany. after a couple of weeks I email them and they say they don't have one and are trying to source one :^(( What started out as great customer service has all gone 'belly up'

yes well, I didn't know that till it went wrong. I have suggested that they refund me if they can't replace it, then I can get a better one with the dosh, but I'll have to add some to it, but is it worth it as I don't really have any gigs, just open mics? ---------- "Come on Brackett let's get changed"

At the jam last Tuesday one of the guitar players had his multi-gang power cable to his two pedals fail mid song and his amp went into an oscillating howl. It was amazing to watch the brain cells go into overdrive as he diagnosed the problem going back and forth between the pedals, as he stripped the power cable off, pulled his guitar cable and went straight into his amp all in about 2 seconds, then swing around and picked up the song like nothing happened!
