Aloha, I need to get a high level of training for my hansome but aggressive Boxer. What type of trainer should I look for. He is 9 months old and likes to lunge and growl at other people. He has had puppy training and some other training but I think he must get to the next level. We are worried he might bite but so far he has only nipped at a few people.

Bluesnut,.. I have a 6yr old boxer,. name's BOO ,.. Man he was a hand full when we got em at 8 months old !!! They are high energy dogs ,..best to walk him or get him something to play with that will wear him down ,. Then this the best time to train,..watch Cesar the Dog Whisper on TV if you can get it,. If not he's On Youtube <>

I've worked with Boo,..doing just what Cesar says an he's 100% now ,.. It takes time an Boxers have a mind of their own,..he just needs to know who's top dog (you) in his pack.
Gotta love them Boxers !!!
Heres Boo in Action with his favorite Toy !! That Bucket has around 5 LBS of rocks in it ,..LOL

Although the forum creed allows an occasional off topic (OT) thread, identified as such, this particular thread should be taken into private email. Please email Buddha:
groovygypsy (at) gmail (dot) com
This is a blues harmonica forum, not a dog training forum.
Thanks.

Great vids. we will keep working with him. he is getting better but still lunges some times. Boo is a great Boxer. I take him to the dog park and let him run with the other dogs, some boxers to, for an hour or so most days of the week. I sit under a tree and practice harp and slide guitar.

adam is correct, email me offlist.
but for those that are reading, your dog is showing fear aggression and this is not good. It's not real aggression.
I will help you offlist when I return from MN. In the meantime go to www.workingdogforum.com

Ok, I can respect that. I was wanting to go to email anyway because I new it was off topic. I just didn't have any other way to contact Budda. I will stick with email from here on out. Thanks for the email address and understanding. Peace
