Went to the philly Folk Festival on Friday. I got to hang out around the Folk Song Society and jammed for hours with tons of musicians. Lots of fun.

You can say that again, lol! Though, on this particular occasion I was in Minnesota for SPAH :) . I wonder if the folk song society would be able to point me in the direction of a good place to go for blues open mics, hmmm.

So Diggs, was this festival setup for jamming or did you know everybody already or did you just start playing by the musicians tent and they let you in? Most of the festivals around this part don't have much jamming opportunities for the plebs unless you fenagle your way into the after party somehow.

This was away from the main stage in the vendors area. I knew some others just came in when they heard the music. It's not set up formally you just find somebody and start playing. I just happen to run into my old bass player and a dulcemer player and started jamming. Other people rotated in and out for hours. ----------
