I don't know if this has been posted before so I'll just post it anyways.

This is a great inside look at how Little Walter behaved while recording. A delightful treat for any Little Walter fan.

Warning: Don't read if you don't like the word "fuck".

Man do I love Little Walter's quirkyness.

I have that book and actually befriended one of the authors, Scott Dirks, who BTW, is a pretty damned good harp player in his own right. If you think he has quirky, check out SBW II, whenever you hear the outtakes and they often were just as nuts if not more. Whenever you work with those old guys, the 4-letter words just blow over your shoulder and does't bother you after awhile. Scott also made me a couple of CD's of some live LW (sorry that's not gonna be made available by me), some so-so, but a few cuts originally taped live in Chicago that were originally recorded at a club by Sam Lay (and Walter was playing thru the PA) and made just a few months before Walter passed away, and after a few years of where his abilities were going down the toilet, you can hear he was definitely getting his stuff back together really strong.
