Hi guys, I decided to put something up that has me completely acoustic with an OK home recording setup. Basically using Audacity, a cheap Behringer mic preamp, and a pretty sweet Shure Beta 57a.

I didn't use any EQ, compressors, or reverb effects for this. The purpose is to get away from anything that would change my acoustic tone too much.

Frankly I am definitely not happy with the audio quality of majority of my videos. Sony cams have CRAP mics. I hope this clip makes up for all that poor sound quality I've been putting out.

Tell me what you think, don't be afraid to be honest. But please, if you are sarcastic/cynical, don't expect me to be polite.

Thanks man!

It's just a C harp played in G Major... 2nd position.

Stormy Monday is typically played in that key in most jams too. Good thing to know. It's one of the most used slow blues songs at jams. A standard.

I like the baby in the Sully costume from Monsters Inc. I like some of slower vibratto that you use. Harp does sound nice and clean, but it gets a bit shaky in a few spots. I dunno, I just wanted to make the baby comment, but figured I should make some comment on your playing since that was the point of this thread.

@groyster, it's a lot of fun isn't it? Probably why it's always used at jams.

@ridge, well I'm glad you like the vibrato. Which parts did you find shaky? The baby was awesome wasn't it? :)

@zhin
yes I prefer to play slow blues,not playing many notes,just hanging on the ones I make-thats why I am envious of your vibrato-I have got to get that skill-some say it can take a lot of time
