Heard about a new octave harp coming out. Sounds very promising
It will be the Knittlinger from bushman. Built similar to a game changer , but without a slide .
I heard one and it sounded pretty good! ---------- www.shakeylee.com

Finally got one. By VERY far , the Knittlinger is the finest octave harp I have ever heard, seen, played or held . It is nothing short of amazing! ---------- www.shakeylee.com

I’m partial to the “Seydel Club” octave harmonicas. I’ve been “burned” by a coupla other brands, bought online, advertised as “octave” harmonicas that turned out to be “tremolo” harmonicas… might have to check out the “Knittilinger” harps.

So Ron’s got ‘em— Only available in two keys, two more due soon. Question, can you bend notes . . . Asking for a blues strangler . . .

Sorry I didn’t answer sooner.
There’s a little bending available, but not a useable note change. Similar to bending a tremolo.
The bushman blues shifter really bends well though !
Those two models will be available in Europe now, through Thomann ---------- www.shakeylee.com

I understand one could put a slide from any of JDR's new Trochilus models on the Knittlinger. That would allow one to play single notes in different octaves, apart from the built-in octaves of the Richter setup. However, the "octave harp" effect would be lost. I wonder if single reed bends would be available.
