Bro Buy the mic it's the only microphone you will ever need small body size with a CM element,make SHURE you get one with a volume control,
the amp Should handle it don't worry about doing any mods to the amp other than swaping out the 12ax7 tube for a lower gain tube to reduce feedback,
save your pennys up the next investment would be a Harp Amp later down the track, a good mic deserves a good amp:)
