I did these this afternoon. I am a firm believer in "mistakes". My musical goal is to be so relaxed that I have no idea where I am going. To some it may sound "wrong" but to me that is where the real gold is in playing music. Over rehearsed tight as a drum songs sound sterile to me just as sloppy/lack of technical ability sounds irritating. I want it to sound like you are sitting in my living room and live in the middle of these two concepts. This feel is what I experienced onstage with guys like lightning hopkins. they were constantly going "wrong" but their sense of rhythm made it all work with groove and tension. I follow the groove and often times get lost, ahead or behind it. It is a fun challenge to mess with time while the underlying groove is steady. The older I get, the more this way of playing interests me. Walter

Walter that first number in particular was really sweet,,,,great harp, vocals, and lyrics.

Sorry I haven't listened to more of your posts, you're a heck of a musician, and a great storyteller. Keep 'em coming!

AV8R: Thanks for the compliment! I believe we all have endless songs inside us if we can relax enough to let them come out unfiltered. Think about how much of life each of us sees/experiences in just 1 day! The key is to not worry about mistakes and to follow where your heart takes you. IMO that is what makes the difference between being a real artist and painting by the numbers. Just about anyone can master the techniques enough to sound real proficent. Walter
