Adam once mentioned the need for a good strong 1 hole draw. When I finish the 12 bars by playing the V chord with a 1 hole draw, I notice that it just does not seem to PUNCH.
In another thread I posted that my old BIG RIVER harp (key of C)seemed to have a better 1 hole draw volume than my SP20,Bluesharp, or DeltaFrost.
Anyone else notice something similar?? or is it all ME??

Two possibilities here: one could be the gap setting and the other could be that the screws on either the reed plate or the cover plate or both need to be tightened a bit. However, DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN THEM or risk stripping the threads and causing a realy bad air leak. The correct screwdriver for the Hohner MS series of harps is a Pozidriv #1, but you can substitute a Phillips #1, but use extreme caution, and even more so with the cover plate screws because the big problem isn't the thread stripping, it' s the possibility of shredding the slot that the screwdriver goes in. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte
