I'm working on incorporating some jump blues into the repertoire, using ii - V changes on the 9th and 10th bars of an otherwise standard 12-bar.
I'm not too taken with my playing through these bars so I was looking to cop a few ideas from other players. I haven't come across any recorded harp songs that use those changes - has anyone else got any recommendations?
thanks

LW has tons of tunes that use the 2-5 change and in blues, it`s a common substite for the 5-4 change and they`re essentially extensions of the 5-4. Off the bat, two of his tunes that uses this are "Who" and the instrumental "Rocker." A lot of Roy Brown, Louis Jordan and T-Bone Walker tunes use it in a variety of tempos. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte

Thanks Bob - I'll have another listen to those Walter tracks with fresh ears. And yes, it is some Roy Brown and Louis Jordan tracks that I'm working on - hey I can always cop the horn lines.
