If any UK members are able to get to this event next year, I would highly recommend doing so. We played a couple of gigs there last weekend, and it there was a great atmosphere. Locals were always friendly and everybody was just up for a good time and good music.
Got to meet Mud Morganfield too which was cool, as he played the closing gig on Sunday - great guy, very approachable and funny.. had a word with Giles Robson whose band The Dirty Aces were backing Mud, and he was blowing through a (gasp) solid state amp which had been provided for the tour. Said he wasn't happy about using it initially, but then came to like the sound of it. Sounded punchy as hell. Further proof that you can sound good through most amps if your chops are together.
Here's a clip of our band playing at The Doghouse on saturday night. Not fantastic quality video, but you get the idea. I know it's a standard that everbody has done at some point but, hey, it was a blues festival and its a nice number to play..
Harp does eventually show at the 5.20 mark..

Thanks for posting this, chinaski-I never knew that Muddy had kids that were bluesman like their dad. Gotta love those threads he's wearing, too! ----------

yeah, Mud was great.. our guitarist - who was relatively 'refreshed' - broke out some incredible dance moves just in front of him during Got My Mojo Working which I believe made quite an impression.
I think he was still laughing about it round the time of the pic!
He's just given us a nice testimonial for our website too.. ---------- Myspace
