and is playing though a Meteor Mini 15 - We've heard the rest...here is another great harp amp.

Guitarist had some cool licks, Nameth impressed me when he let his vocals rip. Harp playing was agressive and on time. Drummer struck me as not enjoying himself which made me sad :( That's a pretty sizeable crowd though. Cool clip, thanks for posting it.
@ tuckster...That is how he sets it up.. the Meteor and a "Meaty" and a "Meatier" switch and depending on where everthing else is set, can have multiple tones just like any other amp. I agree with your observation however. ----------

@ Tuckster and pharpo ...we don't know what recording device was used, but being outdoors has an effect in making things sound brighter.
John played thru a Double Trouble when we opened for them in January. BIG hall...like a church. Knowing JN's style, I brought my big amp "Carmen", but voiced it darker and jazzier...to not sound like John. Professional courtesy ...and helps with the show dynamics. Amp sounded great, and John mentioned the fact.
@ ridge ...Yeah, that's the same drummer. He looked like he just got out of a boring funeral back then. We'll have to nickname him "Happy".
One thing about JN, he's always stylin'. Good MO, IMO.
The guitarist is Josh Fulero. He quit Curtis Salgados band to join Nemeths. He's a great harp player as well. This is the brightest mini I've ever heard. I'm certain his line out into the PA is the source of the high tone. Pluto
Nick's a good drummer and a super nice guy. Nemeth is on the road more than most guys these days. It's possible that he was tired. I think he told me he was out more than 200 days last year and this year was busier. They did damn near all of those days in a van.
Is it possible that the brightness is coming from how the amp is miked and the settings on the PA?

I'm fine with the tone, and he's playing great here. I suspect that the soundman just miked him right on axis. I don't know the configuration of the Mini, but take a look at where the mic is--you guys who do know--and tell me if that's on-axis. Also, the positioning of the camera makes a difference, and it seems as if the camera is on-axis, too.
So many things make a difference when you're talking about live sound, and few of them are under the control of the harp player, at least when you're working with a soundman. I can't tell you how many times I've had soundmen mic my Kay 703 by putting a mic smack in the middle--not realizing (because they haven't bothered to check) that the speaker is displaced all the way to one side.
Many soundmen just don't have a clue. Some, on the other hand, DO have a clue. I'd encourage every harp player who is working with soundmen to become skilled at quickly assessing the situation.
