there seems to be the need of some to draw comparisons of great harp players from time to time--I really admire little walters instrumentals like off the wall and sad hours,however I will stop short of calling him the greatest ever to blow harp as I would shakey horton,sbw1 and 2 or paul butterfield---I heard an interview dicky betts did when asked to compare duane allman to derek trucks on their slide guitar playing he said "you are talking about different styles and different eras,lets stop keeping score that way nobody wins or loses" my sentiments exactly

Thats a good way of looking at things. We should keep that in mind the next time someone asks about comparisons.
