Hi Paul, I don't know the actual webcam you are referring to so can't comment but I bought a cheap webcam and found the video lag was apalling. It had no mic and I had to use the PC mic which was OK-ish but the video was laggy and badly pixelated.
I currently use a small videocam Kodak Zi8 which I find is excellent (dead easy to use, no bells or whistles but 1080HD if you want it) but I had to buy decent editing software because the one that it comes with is pretty poor.
Maybe some of the guys on here can tell you what they use before you spend your money. You want to aim for the best quality you can get for YouTube because your videos may go viral and earn you a bomb :)
It need not be expensive, it's just a question of making the right choice and doing a bit of research into using it to best effect.
It's a good thing to do (put stuff on YouTube) because it makes your posts so much more informative and interesting. Plus (for me) it tends to make me try and play better harp.
P.S. It may be worth going onto TouTube and searching for webcams then you'll see results from webcams that people are actually using. That's how I decided on my set-up.
