Was given a bunch of used harps a while back and I'm slowly working my way through reviving them. Today started working on a SP20 Key of D. Opened up the cover plates. Soaked the reedplates and gave them a darned good cleaning with a toothbrush. The bristles caught a few times because I was a little rough handed.

Set aside the afternoon to gap, emboss and plink and put it together to find out where the problem reeds and gaps were.

Blow me! every single reed was perfect for my playing technique, overblows on 4 5 and 6 were all spot on.

Where am I going wrong? Is it luck or do I have an OOTB playing technique now?

my ootb technique is gaining speed as well...i can only imagine good coming from this, as should i ever purchase a custom... surely it will do much more good than it would harm.
