Hey forum, I know you all missed me (how delusional!) and I finally am able to check this forum! I just flew back to the states from France and had a great time, busked at the sacre coeur in monmartre and along the seine. It was fun, made a few euros. Sadly, didn't get any video of it! Anyway, I'm stopping in New York till monday when I go back home and hope to do something in the blues scene in New York. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Tomorrow and Sunday the town of Riverhead will be hosting the 12th annual blues and music festival. Riverhead is located on the east end of Long Island, a bit of a trip from New York City. If you want to play, later in the evening they have open mic jams.

Since I'm presuming your largely referring to NYC per se: email me for some information on a Monday night jam in NYC's Greenwich Village if you will be available latish monday night and/or google "Terra Blues" for their schedule as they have both an early (7) largely acoustic show and later (10) largely electric show daily that is also in the "Village". I do a pretty big show each Tuesday but that's Tuesdays ( I back a blues singers showcase hosted by Ashford and Simpson) which is too late for you. My best: dennis moriarty (NYC)

If you live in NY, I highly recommend going to Dennis' concert.

Yo Micheal, I plan to go see Dennis Gruenling tonight 7/17/10 at the Great Notch in Little Falls, NJ. You can easily catch a train or bus to somewhere close (Maybe Willowbrook Mall). I'll be happy to pick you up and drop you back at a train to go back to NYC. Starts at 10PM.

Email me and leave a cell number if you wanna go... earloungemusic at yahoo dot com

Hey thanks for the offers and info, wish I had more time here! Ya, just going in central park there is TONS of music! The level of jazz musicians just on the street is MIND BLOWING! In one square acre there were 3 amazing jazz bands and one guy playing blues guitar.
