I've had my Buddha harp for months now and am very happy with, but now I've tried a custom, I cant go back. So im looking for a different guy (or gal, if there are any) to try next. Something thats looks great is smooth to play and overblows and draws all the way. Cheers in advance for any recommendations... Jack

Nice rhyme! You should sell that as a slogan.
Looks great, Smooth to play. Overblows and draws, All of the way!

I say:if you've got a winner, why change? But if you want to mix it up-Joe Spears,a frequent poster here as Harpwrench, makes mighty fine harps from what I've heard.

Give Randy Sandoval at Genesis harmonicas a try. I've tried a few customisers and pretty much all the mainstream makes and the 'C' marine band harp that Randy made me is the best harp I have played. So airtight! Just tried a Manji in C. Spent an hour gapping it and it still sucks in comparison. Half as loud and not nearly so airtight.

I have one of Deak's Harps and like it very much....so much so, I ordered another. ----------

I'd also agree with Tuckster, if Chris' work is delightful to you, why would you shop around? The relationship between a good harp tech and his client often matures with additional harps, in a way that can make each "next one" better than the last as they learn the little quirks of your style. If you jump around from builder to builder, you can't tap into that.
