I want to help with a donation, but here are some ways we can help now.

We can introduce our friends to Jason's music. Several of my old 80s head-bangin buddies had never heard of Jason, but really dig his stuff. Most anyone that appreciates fine instrumentalists will appreciate Jason. They look forward to attending one of Jason's gigs when he is in the area. I could probably get a group of 40 to 50 to attend myself.

Take your copy that you bought from Amazon

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Dpopular&field-keywords=Jason+Ricci&x=21&y=23

or wherever down to the local DJ and introduce yourself and Jason. He could be played on a variety of radio stations blues, rock, alt...etc..etc.. Most public radios stations love it when you donate CDs...high school radio stations as well.

Ask your local club owner to play some of Jason's stuff while the band is on break or anytime.

Post a link to your favorite Jason youtube video to your Facebook with a nice heading.

Get to know your local blues promoter if you live somewhere that host a blues festival.

Add more if you like.

I guess we could all do these things for our favorite harmonica players. Jason is at the top of my list with Cotton and McCain.

I met Jason in Knoxville when I had only been playing 3 months. He helped me with hitting notes already bent. Until then I thought you had to play the hole unbent and then bend it..lol.. A year later he was kind enough to have coffee with my wife and I before his gig.

He may need help short term, but I hope some of my suggestions help long term as well.

I enjoy a lot of his youtube stuff, but my favorite is the Walter Trout vid below. He is playing an F harp in second position. It is innovative ,modern, powerful blues harmonica to me.

Best wishes Jason!

That's a great idea! Something to keep in mind is that artists earn less money by some online retailers than others. See this brilliant (but sobering) chart:
