Tonight I feel the blues and I will play...

I’m sitting with my rig set up ready...tubes are glowing ...I am starting with my fairly new Manji low F harp.

I live on Cape Breton Island which is in the north Atlantic which is....let’s say chilly much of the year, however a couple months a year we are blessed. Tonight is one of those nights...it feels tropical with high temperatures and humidity to match. Windows are open, pouring rain with thunder and lightning rolling in.....

I am going to play John Mayall’s “Sonny Boy blow” which is in low F. I am looking for more songs in low F. Anyone have some favourites.

the low F harp is one I love. Here are a couple with my one man band. It is on the rack, with me playing piano/organ and drums. Walter

Not a classic by any means but I did use a low F on one tune from my most recent CD - BOOGy Fool (snooky cover but I did it in C)...

in the studio I wanted to record acoustic but the mic kept picking up the rattling of those long reeds! Had to switch to a more amplified sound...

If interested... Go to my myspace page and listen to boogy fool on the player...

BOOGY FOOL

cheers..

I always use my Low F to play the boogie horn lines in Zuzu Bollin's "Eat Where You Slept Last Night". Fat and groovey.
