My new band, Eudora and Deep Soul, will have our official debut tomorrow night at a fundraiser for adoptaunit.org. As a retired National Guardsman, the cause is one that is near to my heart. It also doesn't hurt that the headliner is one of New Orleans' foremost burlesque troupes, Fleur de Tease...
My role in this band is unlike anything I've ever done as a band member:I'm NOT the lead singer for my first time ever, and the majority of my harp work is horn parts/accents on Stax/Motown-era r&b/soul/blues(think Aretha, KoKoTaylor, Irma Thomas, early Stevie Wonder, etc). Hopefully some of the videos/pics from the event(of us playing)will be worth sharing.
