It's pretty cool to hear the different mics through the same amps. Worth checking out! http://www.megatoneamps.com/Home_Page.html

Yeah it's a pretty good test, although this is an even better one in my opinion.Helge Tallqvist Mic Test ---------- Paul "Kingley" RoutledgeMy YouTube Page

It's not better IMO! It's hard to tell what mic is what? It's a puzzle for the listener to figure out. Not a clear example of the different mics. DB clearly names every mic, so there's no guessing, and he's using two different amps for the test

Yes I can see what you mean. Although if you look at the drop down menu it does tell you which mic is which. I think both are good resources. ---------- Paul "Kingley" RoutledgeMy YouTube Page

I did one of those a few years ago. I didn't bother to really dial the sound in. I tried to keep things somewhat constant in terms of amp settings. Had I spent the time dialing in the sound, I think the listener might have a more difficult time determining what was being used. I liked David's test, but I had a hard time listening to the whole thing.

Just more proof that tone comes from the player.
