Is this old stuff? On 1, 2, 3 draw if you pop the draw with only changing mouth shape, no breath, you actually get the blow note to sound. Can make some interesting licks, but I cannot make it sustain at all.

Yeah, no sustain. You basically are plinking the blow reed like that. I use that technique all the time when I am tuning and find out the reed wound up inside the slot and won't play. So, I use that technique to start the blow reed, then I blow to sustain it to check the tuning of the reed. ----------

I use this technique for extremely fast runs on holes 7-8-9-10 ( just for fun!!!) and it makes it easy for me to do the hole 1 overblow in a fast lick like on a C harp: c-c#-d-d#....like in country style fast licks.
