My studio has been down for the past 3 weeks due to the computer dying, the soundcard interface capacitors frying, and my 7 year old recording softwarde didn't like windows 7.
So here is my first attempt with my new setup:
sweetwater creation station recording computer samplitude 11 recording software
It took me a few hours today to figure out this new stuff.

Can't wait to see pics of the new studio Walter !! ----------

Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art. - Charlie Parker

I love "my studio is back". Who else would be able to make that kind of song, apart from you ? Unpretentious, touching, speaking of little things that make life meaningful. I guess you really have kept that spirit of the very beginning of the blues, like a modern griot. And, oh I forgot, great music too.

thanks guys! I am still in my 12'x12' little box in the basement. I have learned a ton about making recordings with having all the instruments going is such a small space. Construction on my new studio is about to begin soon. We are finalizing the plans to convert a 24'x24' detached garage into a self contained studio/performance space. It will have a full bath, central ac/heat, and be right next to my smoker. I will be throwing a lot of live performance parties with Texas slow smoked bbq that I learned from Stubbs down in Austin. I will be able to record/video/do live webcasts (is that the right word?) from it.
saregapadanisa: Thanks for listening to the song. I find the simple things that happen in the day make for an endless supply of songs. Heck, then there is the 100,000,000,000,000, other things that drift through my head nonstop.........
Here is my current studio that I recorded todays songs in. Just my computer and recording software is new. I have changed things around since this picture was taken. I no longer use a high hat and now use a ride cymbal that is hit by a drumstick that is attached to a bass drum beater. Walter

here is the new studio. The garage doors have been removed and will be framed in leaving only a window and door entrance. I am calling it- The Tunnel of Dreams Recording Studio
