The new configurator at Seeded is super exciting
I decided to set up a Harp so that it behaves from holes 6-9 like holes 3-6 to make the blues scale identically available (and avoid overblown and draws)
IS this a “known configuration”? Any drawbacks to it? I assume 6D and 7D will bend identically to holes 3 & 4?
I kinda thought this was what Wilde configuration was going to be but I hate not having 6B be a tonic


Have included the note layout below

One assumes you mean Seydel?
Hole 6 offers lots of bending!

Is there a way to do this with Suzuki?
Really appreciate your expert opinion Gnarly?
Will 6D and 7D be such more difficult to control than 3D and 4D?
Assuming good technique- hope I can access all 3 bends on the 6D?
I am hoping this is easier and more expressive than overblowing?
Also wonder about vavling- is that an easier way to access the flat 3rd and flat 5th in the upper register blues scale?

Suzuki reeds are welded to the reed plate, makes them a little harder to swap.
I do because I have the HRT-10, but it’s pricey.
Bending to pitch is great fun, but doesn’t always produce a good tone—even with good technique, higher reeds require more finesse..
A great setup makes all these things easier to achieve.
Horses for courses—some folks make valving work for them, others find overblow techniques produce satisfactory results.
