I'm beginning to wonder if there is such a thing as genetic memory/skills which can be transmitted down the family line? That kid just doesn't look old enough to have learnt that in the normal way. Just look at how he looks around him whilst his fingers are working ten to the dozen. Doesn't appear to be any concentration at all on his part.
I'm puzzled and now I'm pissed. I want some of that.
I saw Joe Bonamassa do the same thing at 12-13 years old. He blew us all away. ---------- Music is your own experience, your own thoughts, your wisdom. If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn. They teach you there's a boundary line to music. But, man, there's no boundary line to art. - Charlie Parker
That kid is great, but the singer humming along bass lines in the mic the whole time is distracting, and just sounds goofy to me. If it's a blues festival you'd think they could surely find a bass player.
You've heard of pregnant moms listening to Mozart to supposedly make their babies smarter, maybe his mom listened to Muddy Waters... ---------- http://www.myspace.com/jeffscranton
