I recently returned from a brief mini-tour of the MIDWEST... Although it was far from financially lucrative, it was a great opportunity to play some cool blues clubs and to reunite with some of my musical brethren in St. Louis and Kansas City - most notably Preston Hubbard on bass (t-birds, roomfull, nick curran) and the drummer, guitarist and keyboard player from Lee McBee's band.
Tons of fun but it convinced me that I AM NOT cut out for life on the road... I have done mini tours before here and abroad - not sure hoe Hummel, Nemeth, Ricci and others do it... I am happy to remain a weekend (and occasional weeknight) warrior that sleeps in my own bed! Ha!
