This is in reference to the fact that My amp doesn't have a standby switch. Class A circut, runs somewhere around 20 watts...and i'm hoping You guys are from the school of "there are no stupid questions":
Should I turn the amp off during breaks on a 3 set gig? I generally just leave it on,been doing it for years with no problem.

I've used a Pro Junior on low volume gigs and I always turn it off between sets so that it doesn't drain the power tubes and allows the amp to cool down for awhile. A standby stwitch aloows an amp to power downward and let the power tubes cool down for awhile. ---------- Sincerely, Barbeque Bob Maglinte Boston, MA http://www.barbequebob.com CD available at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/bbmaglinte

Thanks for the quick response Bob. You are a true gent. I know the theory behind a standby switch. I've allways turned the volume off on breaks. It just gave Me the "willies" to turn the power back on and immediately start playing again, but it's My understanding that a class "A" circut produces alot more heat than a A/B.
