The Progressive Blues Harmonica Player doesn't abandon the
blues they just take it with them no matter what music

Now we speak of the Progressive Blues Harmonicist,
is this the new wave?

move over Modern Blues it's time for the Progressive
Blues Harmonicist,
Modern Blues your old hat time to move Forward:(
we set the Pattern

1st Traditional Blues
2nd Modern Blues
3rd Progressive Blues

as long as i stay Trad I'm Happy,
but still enjoying rideing some of the new waves, not all of it is working for me there are still some classic wipe outs:)

atty, I believe it's blues played over a chord progression. Hence, progressive. In contrast to stationary or "droning" blues which is played "al dirgio" over a sine wave.

Hope this helps.

@att1chgo - There is no such thing. It either is Blues or it isn't.

I have to take exception to some of what is being posted above. Personally I feel mastery of your instrument is only part of being a good performer (in blues especially).
For instance, if I had to chose who I'd rather watch play for 2 hours, Del Junco or Estrin, it would be Estrin. And for those who've seen Estrin play you may know what I'm talking about.
