Many awesome things are happening these days in the world of the harmonica.
I'm positive that there's never been a bigger choice between harmonicas, both out-of-the-box and customized, harp amps, mics and instruction due, I'm sure, mostly to the internet.
A little survey: What have you learned in your harp studies that you never would have learned without the internet?
I can say right off the bat that I would never have learned to play Whammer Jammer if it hadn't been for Adam's series of posts back when.
I always loved the song, but it was just too daunting until Adam broke it down into managable hunks.
I still can't do it perfect, but I can do a pretty credible version of it.
And that's just one thing. I've gotten so much knowledge out of Adam, Chris, Jason and the rest.
Thanks!

The internet has truly been a great resource for younger harp players. They have an advantage that we didn't have 20 years ago. Back then it was a matter of sitting down with a cassette and rewinding and listening over and over again. Personally, the internet, especially YouTube has introduced me to some great harmonica players and customizers - Ricci, Michalek, Reynolds, Spiers, etc.

Todd I think it's been a great resource for young and old alike. Now we all learn from each other. The great equalizer!

Throat vibratto, overblow, chromatic, chord harmonica, history tuning, customizing, you name it. Most importantly I learned there are other players out there. I didn't know that before.

For me it was a transition from campfire songs to blues. I always wanted to learn blues but the few "how to books" didn't help much. Adam and youtube made the difference. I still occasionally play my campfire songs, only now I play them with much more expression with the new blues techniques I have learned.
