I'll be bringing my 16 year old to Austin for drum corps summer move-ins on Tuesday, June 15, and I'll probably hang out for a couple of days. Who is in A-town? Any jams I might want to checkout or sit in on? If nothing else, I'd be up for meeting up for some cold microbrews!

Hey, Todd, very cool that you're coming to Austin. I actually play at a rock and roll jam with a bunch of older players every Tuesday night (i'm the only harp player). You would certainly be welcome there!
Microbrews sound great too!

Shanester: I'll be looking you up sometime as well. I'm in Liberty Hill but work in Austin.
I've been meaning to look up what we have in the area in regards to Jam Sessions. Here's my first pass:

Shanester-cool! I will see when I have to actually have him at wherever they will be, possibly UT or some high school. Tuesday night might be a stretch, but if I can can pull it off, I will try.

Thanks for that link! I live scant blocks from Warehouse Saloon. I can't believe I didn't know about that jam, I am definitely going to check that out!

Shane-yeah, hopefully by then I'll be at a stopping point and moving in either right before I head to Austin, or right after I return. It's killin' me, but I'm beginning to see some light at the end of a tunnel.
i just hope it isn't a train!
