I've had an offer to present a paper at an academic conference in Copenhagen in the August 19-21 window. If I came, I'd love to find a way of squeezing in some sort of clinic and/or performance.
Is anybody on this forum from Denmark? Or can you connect me with somebody in the Danish blues scene--Peter Nande, for example--who might potentially be interested in putting something together. The great thing, from any promoter's perspective, is that I'll already be there. If the event is in Copenhagen, my transportation and room costs will already be paid.

As far as I know, there is only one blues place in Copenhagen, Mojo Blues Bar, www.mojo.dk, mojo AT mojo.dk. I'm sorry if it isn't much help, but it's a place to start.

I'm flying to Copenhagen and will arrive on August 19th. On Saturday, August 21, Lars Ringgaard and I will be offering a blues harmonica clinic/masterclass at Mojo Blues Bar, followed by a one-man band performance and, after that, a gig with Lars's band and me sitting in.

I told Hakan about it and he's pretty sure he's coming over from Stockholm (a six-hour trip). Should be fun.

i will be there during those dates (in aarhus), for academic reasons as well....
looks pretty dry as far as clubs in the region, but i know a band there and will put out a request
