I kept uncovering absolutely fantastic harp players today! Michel Herblin thanks to Buddha, and two others:

Greg Slapcczynski:

And Mark Graham's southern old time harmonica

I'm sure you've heard of them before. What else am I missing?

@ Nasty
I'm glad I've helped you discover this guy. Seems you're a fan now !
Check his blog : http://leandroferrari.blogspot.com/
There's about 30 songs to listen to and download from the audio player (right side of the page). And have a look at the entries : your attention has not be unoticed...

@ MAL
Greg Zlap is a great player. I own 3 of his cds, all well worth listening. He is the kind of guy who tries something different each time. Your vid is a song from "Road Movie(s)", made exclusively from movie themes. If you want action, get "Gregtime", live recording of monthly venues that he used to hold at Utopia, which is THE blues place in Paris.

If you are in a discovery mood, I'll drop some name for you to google (some you may already know) :

Mátyás Pribojszki (Poland)
Ferenczi György (Hungary)
Michal Kielak (plays in the group Kasa Chorych, Poland)
Flavio Guimaraes (Brazil)
Ñaco Goñi (from Spain)
Robson Fernandes (Brazil)
Dieter Kropp (Germany)

Get "Varsovie" that's the best Greg album. There is a song called "Yearning For Home" that brought me to tears!

@ Oda, I agree. "Varsovie" has been in my car's cd player for 2 weeks now and I can't take it out. Well, I could, but I won't...

I have no idea what Ferenczi György was singing (my Hungarian is sadly lacking), but it sure is a great tune. Awesome groove, nice use of the horn (sounded more like a t-bone here), and enjoyable harp, too.

Yo Bro Sar looks kike i done some double edge sword
Avertiseing, they have a link directly to the Thread

useally I'm not into that kind of music i grew away from it but it touches so many musical influences of my youth, i can't put a Handle on it but i will listen to more of his Music,

I pushed this Bro here because he needed to be Heard by the masses, I'm glad Isaac got to hear him he is right up his Ally and lurkers may have got a chance to hear him,

i think he is breaking new ground a much better example of Modern Harmonica playing than others
posted lately,

I do hope Adam gave Leandro a listen Being a Modern Harmonicist, should give that page a look allso looks Fancy got the MBH header and everything, leandro's Brothers and Sister are sure to Drop by MBH and have a Look see:)
