Hi guys,
I've recently bought a Manji in the key of C. After gapping holes 1 to 6 it works perfect, except for the 10 hole blow bends. 8 and 9 blow bends work like a charm and did not need any adjustments, but the 10 hole is something different. I haven't done much to it as I don't want to screw it up, so I'm asking it here first.
Should I work on the draw or blow reed to get the different blow bends more easily? Should I gap more close or leave the gap wider? If I do it too much what will happen? (So I now where to stop)
Thanks in advance!

I'm no expert at gapping by any means, but I do know that for any hole to bend properly there needs to be a balance between the blow and draw reed gaps. It's not one or the other. i don't OB so i only adjust gaps if the harp is not responding properly.
I've never tried a Manji since i only play ET harps, but I have been playing Suzukis for a while. When i've had to gap them, I usually have had to open the gaps a little. On the high end, you want to be careful not to open the blow reeds too much, though. Remember, it's the draw reed that activates to give you the blow bend.
