'll be playing with Andy Sharrocks ("a voice as raw as it is mean" - Blues Matters) and The Smokin' Jackets at the Leicester Square Theatre, London (UK) on Tuesday May 18th. Good time tunes and tales of whiskey, women, death and dogs. Hats, spoons, four-part harmonies and, at some point, at least three people playing harmonica at once.
Fresh from tearing up stages all over Europe, the mighty Hokie Joint ("Best Blues Band 2010" - Digital Blues) will be opening the proceeding for us with a stripped-down, rough and ready acoustic set. Hokie Joint have a fabulous harpist in the shape and sound of Giles King (Digital Blues' favourite harmonica player 2010).
So...
It'd be lovely to see you there!

Wish I could make it. Captain Bliss is currently my favorite local harp player. If anyone goes: sidle up to him during the break. If you're lucky he'll yank you into his bizarre swirling pond of harp geekery - i.e. converse with you.

@tookatooka:
I'll give better notice next time!
@Elwood, @Oxharp:
Thanks for your kind words. It was fun! Really enjoyed listening to / watching Hokie Joint (some damn fine harp playing from Giles King) and we had 4 (yes, 4!) harmonicas, 3 percussionists and 4 guys mute-strumming guitar strings and a big, bad bass guitar doing a madcap, stomping Bo Diddley thing by the end of the night...
How it's gotta be!
Sunny smiles to y'all...
